Wednesday, May 6th, 2009A wintertime theme was my idea of the perfect wedding theme, so we got married in January. More than enough products are available to help fulfill any bride’s wish for a wedding with a winter genre. Our wedding ceremony color scheme was in silver and wintery blue. We also had fake snow and lovely candles at the altar, including our winter themed unity candle. It was a magical wedding.
All of the reception tables had red table runners and white tablecloths. I had beautiful white orchids in gorgeous silver vases for our centerpieces and they went so well with the winter décor. As for our place card holders I found the most lovely snowball ornament card holders for our reception. Whether we use them as ornaments or place card holders, they look fabulous, and they can be used for either. To express our gratitiude for their coming to our special day, we got our relatives and other loved ones champagne bottles favors and matching toasting flutes. All of our tables were magnificently set up and shined with all the glitter and glamour of the winter time. The wedding cake topper we picked out was a snowflake made of porcelain, and our three-layered wedding cake sat atop a cake stand that was shaped like a sleigh. I picked out the cake serving set on the net, and it had wintery designs on it, too. The handles had little snowflakes done in white and wintry blue colors. It fit in seamlessly with the pen and guestbook set I had purchased.
The artwork on the the cake serving utensils and the guestbook was identical to that on the toasting flute, and they all looked brilliant. The other things on our wedding table went perfectly with them, and they were designed with a wintery blue and white look with snowflakes mixed in. The people who attended our reception liked the presents and place card holders they brought home with them, and the banquet hall looked just gorgeous. We got our flower girl a necklace and we we let her keep the small crown she wore in the ceremony, and she was pleased with both of them. The ring boy thought the ring bearer tee shirt and stainless steel yoyo was pretty cool. I got my maid of honor a bracelet made of crystal, and all of my bridesmaids received tank tops with their names written on them in small crystals. The men’s presents were handled by my groom. He bought a best man mug and a neat pen set for the best man, and everyone else received a battery-operated digital clock. I could tell that all of our friends and family were having a fantastic time at the reception and they all seemed to like the little favors and gifts we bought for them.
The products I discovered on the Internet made our wedding day everything I dreamed it could be. We also saved a little money by shopping online, with all the discounts and wholesale items they had to choose from. I found supplies for both the wedding and the honeymoon online. We found a shirt and hats that said ‘Bride’ and ‘Groom’ on them, and a pillow to hang outside our door indicating that we did not wish to be bothered. The decorative little pillow really came in handy.

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009I wanted to have a wedding that was not only full of great memories for me, but for our friends and family as well. So when I when to pick out gifts, I picked out things that they could remember it by. The gifts I bought were meant to be reminders of what an outstanding wedding day and night we had together. Eventually I got to a keepsake wedding gift after picking out keepsake gifts. There were a lot of wedding items to choose from on the internet, with suggestions of very nice items for both ceremonies and receptions. All of the things that I needed for my reception were there
I had a florist come in and make up darling arrangements to put in the middle of each reception table, and alongside them were little ceramic pots with lace that held candles inside. The place card holders, which I also discovered on the Internet, looked exquisite next to the flower arrangements.
The place card holders I decided on were beautiful beaded picture frames that the guests could all keep after the reception. As far as gifts for our guests went, I made sure I gave them all practical favors that would also make great keepsake wedding gifts. I just never saw the point to giving out wedding favors that no one can get any use out of. Otherwise, the recipient of the gift will most likely forget about it shortly after they get it. I wanted our friends and family to have something they will hang on to and remember sharing our special day with us every time they use it. So I chose bistro coffee mugs for each of our friends and family’s gift. It’s a product that any person can utilize, and the ones I got looked really cool. I bought a bunch of pretty hang tags to put on the boxes they arrived in, but the containers were so nice-looking that I just kept them in the boxes they came in.
The Internet was a treasure trove of reception ideas and products. The cake topper we got ‘took the cake,’ so to speak. I decided to go with something with special meaning to us.
When we met for the first time, it was at a friends house and we were all engaged in a little friendly game of football on the back lawn. So our first meeting was in the middle of a memorable tackle attempt on his part and I thought the topper I found with the bride and groom playing football was an excellent choice. When I look at the wedding cake topper, I think of both our wedding day and the day he first tried to tackle me. Wednesday, May 6th, 2009The amount of possibilities can be overwhelming when you’re when putting together a ceremony and reception, but it’s also quite a thrill at the same time. When my daughter was going to be a bride, the most difficult part of helping her out was getting her to decide on something. First she didn’t know if she wanted a themed wedding or if she would rather go with a traditional ceremony and reception. She studied every possible variety that we could think of, and she just ended up getting more and more confused. Some of the options she kicked around were doing a gardening theme or a sand and surf theme. Ultimately, our new bride opted to go with a pretty conventional wedding. Once she made up her mind at last, we got to work putting together the wedding.
The invites had been delivered, the banquet hall for the reception was booked, and the church was rented out. She had her gown and the wedding party attire was all taken care of, so mostly what we had to concentrate on now, was the reception supplies and decorations. There were still a couple of accessories we needed to find, like her wedding guest book and wedding album. We looked through a great selection of wedding guest books, some with so many lovely designs to choose from. We had our pick of adorable wedding pens that went with the guestbooks, too. We still had a few items to find when my daughter ran across a six piece wedding set that had a solid white satin cover with satin bows and rhinestones. Along with a ring pillow and wedding garter, which were very attractive, was a charming flower basket and unity candle. This gorgeous satin set also included a guest book for wedding that also matched perfectly. It was astonishing to us to see that many charming accessories and supplies for so low a cost. We also found the perfect wedding album with a place for special keepsakes and scrap-booking pages as well. The wedding album was ideal.
The last things to take care of was place card holders, a wedding cake topper, and gifts for the guests. All of the rest of it had been dealt with. She chose a lovely wedding cake topper with two doves made of glazed porcelain. Those doves will make an outstanding piece for her to treasure forever. Next we went for the place card holders, and for those my daughter decided to go with little silver picture frames for all of her guests at the reception. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. She did alright picking out her wedding accessories and reception supplies. The extra cash she was able to hang on to by finding good deals is going to get spent when they go on the honeymoon.
The look and experience of our wedding day was a smashing success with our guests. Their first dance together made us all realize what a handsome couple this really was. I think my feet are still sore from tearing up the dance floor, but I’ll never foget what a magical night that was, and it was worth every second. My own baby, now married, may have a baby of her own some day. Well, when that day comes, I know exactly where I’ll go to get the supplies and shower favors for the baby shower I’ll throw. The perfect gift for them was hard to find. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Trying to select just the right one is where it got difficult. I found some bargains on thank you presents, too. One particular eight-piece set I found saved me a lot of money; it had a pillow for the ring bearer, a basket for the flower girl, a pen and sign-in book for guests, and several other things, all in one. That was a big savings. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I was just browsing through possible thank you presents when I finally came across something the women standing up for my wedding would like: a beautifully adorned jewelry box. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I still had to get supplies and accessories for the reception even though the wedding ceremony was all but taken care of. I didn’t have my wedding cake topper yet, nor did I have the wedding favors for my friends and family, so that’s where I went next. I picked out some really cute bride and groom salt and pepper shakers and chrome bottle openers shaped like doves. I almost picked one out that had embossed silver intials and crystals, but after looking through a whole bunch of possibilities, I went with our mini bride and groom. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. I bought them all a piece of unique wedding jewelry, and I put it in a glowing boxes for jewelry. I chose a beautiful rhinestone bracelet for all of them. Two single people drew some attention: my husband’s brother snatched the garter out of the air, and my sister won the bouquet toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. Only time will tell.

When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. If you want a beach party wedding you can find beach party accessories like beautiful little seashells and starfish, just to name a couple. There were also some pretty clever ideas for garden and other summer and spring weddings and receptions. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. The season that was amazing was the winter season because of all the Christmas colors and decorations you can add to your reception. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. I thought to myself having a winter wedding outside would be gorgeous in one sense, and a little weird in the other, not to mention how cold it would be. I think I’d rather have my winter wonderland wedding and reception, indoors, where it’s warm. The best place for a winter wedding would be in a setting with a warm cozy fire and warm atmosphere.

Autumn is the best season for me and the best time to have a wedding, with it’s colorful background as your main motif. Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. Instead of a normal reception it is looking more like a family get together that has hayrides and outdoor grills. It sounds like it will be a fantastic time for all the guests. They even planned to have some country western line dancing in the barn. After hearing all this I knew I had to go to the store and get blue jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat so that I could join in the fun and excitement. Everybody will always remember this wedding. With our anniversary coming up soon, I may take my daughters idea and have a country western renewal ceremony and reception.
