The Ceramic Wedding Gifts

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

When you are planning a wedding and reception I think the hardest part is trying to find the perfect wedding favor for your guests. There is choices like practical gifts that they can use at home, crystal gifts or maybe even ceramic wedding favors figurines. No matter which you consider, you’ll find more than enough to choose from.
I’m planning a themed wedding in a country western motif, and I’ve found quite a few exceptional ceramic favors to work with. You can use just about any favor made of ceramic for almost any themed wedding you are planning. I found these little black ceramic wedding trays and tea caddys that I thought were really awesome. There were ceramic wedding gifts like candle holders, awesome tea lights, vases and more. Since I consider shopping for the wedding favors as the most difficult part of the planning, plus trying to decide from such a wide variety, I decided that it was the last thing I put on my list of things to do.
So, my tables were first on my list to be accessorized. Since this was a country western motif, all my tables were picnic tables with checked tablecloths and a little metal bucket full of daisies was the centerpieces. I bought adorable little barbecue grills as place card holders, which I let all the guests keep after the reception. Since we were having a family cookout instead of having our party catered, I thought the little grills were a nice added touch. There were also little cowboy hats at each place setting and cowboy boot glasses for the refreshments. As ceramic wedding favors, I chose the pretty ceramic honey pots with heart shaped handles instead of the tea caddies for our friends and family. I felt they worked out better for a country western theme and I really liked the way they looked. Although, I almost went with ceramic wedding candle holders, which were really awesome. Not only did our reception tables look like an authentic down home celebration, but all the rest of the accessories we had for our reception was perfect too.
We had little twinkle white lights hanging all around the dance area, and piles of haystacks scattered about. A cowgirl with her rope tied to her grooms rope to have him hauled off to the preacher was the wedding cake topper we chose. We all had a good laugh from our whimsical cake topper. We all had a night to remember, with dancing, partying and lots of great laughs. One of the most creative and enjoyable thing we had going on, was an awesome hayride for everyone, and the kids really got a big kick out of that.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. For the men in the wedding party, my fiance had chosen these cool cowboy steins and thank you gifts, and I chose delicate little ceramic party favors for the guys and ladies. We bought a flower girl tee shirt and a ring bearer tee shirt for the adorable kids in the wedding. Everyone seemed to be happy with the thank you gifts we chose for them.
I ordered bride and groom cowboy hats for me and my husband, a few accessories like an adorable western themed guest book and pen set, and a gorgeous wedding album to store the memories of today in. I thought this would turn out great, but it was way more better than I had imagined, what a super party we had.
