Wonderful jewelry boxes

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Today, we have watch jewelry boxes, earring jewelry boxes, other types of boxes for jewelry, but years ago, pretty much everything was put into standard jewelry boxes. The array of jewelry boxes can be decked out in a plethora of styles and colors. The women who stood up in my daughter’s wedding all got a jewelry box from her, and she picked one out for herself as well. That was just the beginning of what I discovered while surfing the web for gift ideas. No matter what look your going for at your wedding, a specific theme or a more customary look, you’ll find loads of suggestions there. Prince Charming and his lovely princess was the theme that my daughter and her fiance went for. She really did look like Cinderella at the ball in her lovely wedding gown and long veil, and I must admit my son in law looked just as good as Prince Charming in his stunning tux. It was a picturesque wedding. After the ceremony was over my daughter and son in law left the church in grand style with a horse drawn buggy and a driver dressed in a top hat and tails.
The reception had small white lights to add with the tulle that was draped above and tall flower vases scattered all about the room. Behind the bride and groom table was a floral arch of red and white roses and green foilage and there were beautiful flower bouquets on the reception tables with silver sparkles scattered about. The reception tables twinkled even more with the silver tea light dove place card holders she selected. Flower and crystals adorned the small jewelry boxes that each lady at the wedding got as a gift. The men were given little key chains with the well known frog prince as a charm.  cheap jewelry boxes for the bridesmaids had black velvet-lined interiors and were made of wood and sliver-plated. The date of the wedding and name of the happy couple were inscribed in the boxes. The thank you gift my daughter gave the girls was very warmly received. It was a box like I used to have, I had no idea it was a wholesale jewelry box, it was so expensive looking. Each of the groomsmen received a set of wine gifts and their names etched in a tiny plaque. I felt those were novel thank you gift ideas.
A tiny castle sitting at the top of the three-tiered wedding cake lent the cake a mystical appearance. My daughter picked out champagne flutes and a cake serving set to tie in with the fairytale-themed cake. Many of her decorations and supplies were top of the line, but she came in well below where I had expected on their wedding budget. They were firm about the fact that they did not want us to cover the bills from the wedding even though, as parents of the bride, we made it clear to them that we expected to pay for everything.
I cried as I watched them dance their first dance as husband and wife, it looked as if they were the only ones in the room. It reminded me so much of the ball the prince had in the Cinderella story. You would have thought that it was a real princess tossing her garter the way the guys jostled for position to get it; it was a very amusing sight to behold. My daughter’s wedding day was as magical as she imagined it would be, and the whole thing was so special. Now they are on a honeymoon she’s always dreamed of. When they return, I want a full description of all the wonderful places they visited while sight seeing.
