Exquisite Wedding Favor Heart!

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

A  hearts wedding in the month of February, the month of love, what a fabulous idea.  To have our ceremony and reception covered in hearts and flowers and other romantic accessories and decor. Maybe I could even have a few little cupids scattered around the reception hall. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the heart wedding favors I bought.  I wanted to choose a heart favor that everyone would appreciate and that could be a symbol of our love for each other. I also ordered invitations with two silver hearts on the cover and the inside was preprinted so all I had to do was put in the when and where.                When the invitations were completed, I had to go forward with putting together the exact products that I would use. On each of the pews I had big red velvet bows with ribbon strung from one pew to the next. The altar was beautifully decorated, with wonderful candle holders and candles, including our unity candle which was adorned with a heart made of red roses. We used red roses all over the wedding ceremony, like in my bouquet, where they were mixed with pink roses, and throughout the church. We had doves let out of cages as my groom and I departed from the church building, and it was one extra touch that I thought was just majestic.
The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. As a flower girl basket, I decided to go with a gorgeous white satin with lovely lace and satin bows on each side. For the ring boy to carry down the aisle I ordered a gorgeous white double hearts wedding pillow with the two gold hearts entwined, and a white satin ribbon for the rings. I had a mini tiara for the flower girl to wear in her hair that looked very much like the one I ordered for myself. She did look like a little princess in her lovely little pink flower girl dress, and she did such a super job in the ceremony. With his tiny tuxedo and red boutonniere, the ring bearer boy did as good of a job and he looked just as adorable. When he walked, he didn’t get out of sync with everyone else, and he bore the rings in distinguished fashion. I was so proud of both of them.
The centerpieces we had made up for the reception dinner had tiny hearts intermixed with roses that were white, pink, and red. On each of the reception tables were little two hearts wedding candles to set the romantic mood of the theme I had chosen, and at each setting was their lovely thank you gifts. I ordered beautiful little silver bells with a heart shaped handle that make a very lovely keepsake from our wedding day for each of our guests. Every layer of our wedding cake was adorned with small red and pink roses, and the bottom section had tiny hearts running all the way around it. Our hearts wedding cake had a white porcelain topper on it that complimented the rest of our cake décor beautifully.
The hearts and flowers that saturated our wedding made it the very definition of what a love-filled, Valentine’s Day wedding should be. I’m just glad I had the internet to turn to, it made everything so much easier.
