The dresses and the tuxedos are all taken care of, everyone has had all their fittings and everything is a go on the clothing part of the ceremony. Decorations for the wedding were kept quite simple, with candles and flowers and a wedding garland that attached to the end of each pew. A friend of mine did all my bouquet arrangements and I might add, did an excellent job. They were all gorgeous, with satin ribbons hanging down three sides and baby breaths scattered among the orchids and other flowers. The little flower girl had her basket of roses to pass out to the guests and the ring boy had a beautiful satin and lace pillow to carry our rings on. Everything for the wedding ceremony was ready.
The wedding reception however, took a little more planning than the ceremony. I had to work with the caterers to choose a menu that would satisfy all of our guests, pick out a band that my fiance and I could agree upon, and of course, the most gorgeous centerpiece of the wedding table; our wedding cake. We decided on a fudgy chocolate cake (my fiance is a chocoholic) with a lucious rasberry filling and a deep rich chocolate ganache for the frosting. That should be a good 500 calories a slice. But this is our wedding day we are talking about, and I want it all.
All the place settings for our guests have been taken care of including lovely place card holders I bought online, and a dear friend of mine hooked me up to a great assortment of unique favors for my guests. There were beautiful candle favors that could have served as place card holders too, but I wanted them to be separate, so I had the favors packaged in very decorative favor boxes and placed them next to each place card. The tables looked fantastic. I couldn’t get over all the lovely thank you gifts they had for friends and family. There were even fantastic favors for bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents of the bride and groom. We also found the perfect little gifts for the flower girl and ring boy. They had everything we needed as far as gifts go. It certainly made shopping a lot easier.
I wish my sister would have known about this place when she gave me my wedding shower. There were adorable unique bridal favors she could have gotten. Not that her choice was shabby, but I know she spent quite a bit of money on them and they didn’t look as nice as these. They had so many unique party favors for all kinds of celebrations, including birthdays and graduations. I know I’ll remember this place when planning parties in the future.
Our ceremony turned out wonderful and everyone looked so beautiful and elegant. The ring boy and flower girl were so cute, I had to have a picture of them with us after the ceremony was over. As we were leaving the church everyone tossed rose petals at our feet and cheered us on to our limo.
At the reception we all had a fantastic time. My husband and I got the first dance as the bride and groom and then everyone joined us on the dance floor. We danced, had lots of food and drinks and just had a wonderful time. But I’ll tell you a little secret, as wonderful as my wedding and reception was, the honeymoon was a whole lot better.
